Description: | ![]() Booking is open for our Summer Concert when we will be accompanied by the excellent National Festival Orchestra with Rachel Fright on continuo. The concert will take you on a journey of darkness to light, beginning with Haydn's Nelson Mass or 'Mass in Troubled Times'. On the way, the journey explores the sinister and calm aspects of darkness with six poems set to music by Benjamin Britten in his great masterpiece, Serenade for Tenor, Horn and Strings. Our concert ends with the wonderfully uplifting Sunrise Mass by Ola Gjeilo. You may not have heard Sunrise Mass before, but after hearing it, it will surely become one of your favourite works. We have a great line up of soloists: Soprano: Rachel Abbott Mezzo-soprano: Merel Magali Cox Tenor: Chris Why Bass: Charlie Trueman Horn: David Tollington Conductor: Tom Newall |
